3rd  meeting
24th-25th April, 2024
Eupen, Belgium

Exciting two days at the Include³ Project Partners Meeting in Eupen, Belgium hosted by adult education center VHS Bildungsinstitut VoG!

The first day’s session started with delving into the real-world context of the project by visiting BW Eupenthe sheltered workshop which employs people with disabilities who have not yet found their place in the general labor market. They handle customer orders from the areas of packaging, shipment and assembly. Introduction of this good and well working practice in Belgium set the tone for the day, grounding discussions in the practical realities faced by individuals with cognitive disabilities and showcased the possibility for them to live a wholesome lifes.

Further attention turned to the core of the project’s work, as the partners engaged in a focused discussion on the main results of international focus group reports and the implications for the forthcoming guidelines. Moderated by  HdBA (University of Applied Labour Studies of the Federal Employment Agency), this session showcased the collaborative effort of all partners in synthesizing valuable insights.

For lunch the partners visited another one good practice example in Belgium – Tagesstätte Garnstock (En. Garnstock daycare center). This place employs people with a disability and integrates hard-to-place job seekers into the community. The lunch offer is one of the center’s projects – “Mare Nostrum” that offers the sale of pizza, a catering service for private and public celebrations, as well as delicious food in their small restaurant by reservations on workdays.

On the second day the Include³-method was recapped and discussions on curriculum development was carried out. This session marked a significant step towards shaping the educational framework for labor counselors to help them to create an empowering labor environment for individuals with cognitive disabilities and lead them through their journey to sustainable employment.

4th  meeting
18th-19th September, 2024
Nicosia, Cyprus

Include3 project partners started the autumn season right – together and in a very warm, sunny and diverse Cyprus!

We are happy to share that on September 18th and 19th partners from Germany, Belgium, Lithuania and Cyprus had a chance to meet face to face for a transnational partners meeting to discuss further Include3 project details.

The meeting was full of important updates, deep discussions, and collaborative efforts to push our project forward.

On the first meeting day partners started discussions on project management and Include3 self-learning video units. The team worked hard on finalizing project‘s results piloting and evaluation plans, wrapped up with an insightful curriculum development session.

On Day 2, partners started early with a visit to the Christou Steliou Ioannou Foundation. Everybody seemed amazed by the input the Foundation is doing – with Cyprus government help they are really making people with disabilities included not only in labor market but also in a community. It provided inspiration and set the tone for a productive day ahead.

The next discussions, after the visit, were focused on creating an explanatory video tailored for participants with intellectual disabilities.

At the end of the meeting partners agreed on some points on Include3 project’s dissemination – talked about upcoming multiplier event in Brussels, aimed at showcasing project’s progress to a wider audience. Discussed other communication strategies, including blog posts, social media updates, and translating the project’s homepage into plain language to ensure inclusivity and accessibility for all.

A huge thanks to all partners for their hard work, dedication, and the positive energy that filled every session. Looking forward to continuing collaboration as we move closer to achieving our project goals!
