National reports

The reports talks about how they help people with disabilities find jobs and be a part of society.

In the first part, they talk about the rules and plans for this.

Then, they look at how well they are following the United Nations rules for people with disabilities.

In the second part, they talk about how people with intellectual disabilities can get jobs.

They explain things like special workplaces, training, and advice.

They also talk about how some people start in special places and then move to regular jobs.

In the third part, they share stories about people who did well with these programs.

They show how it can work in real life.

National report Germany first deals with the social and labour market policy for people with disabilities (Chapter 1.1) and the status quo of the UN CRPD (Chapter 1.2.). Chapter 2 deals with the participation of people with intellectual disabilities by presenting the system of sheltered workshops, the vocational training concept, the counselling concept and the transition from sheltered workshops to the general labour market after dealing with definitions of terms. Chapter 3 gives an insight into case studies as examples of good practice in the fields of vocational training, counselling and the transition to the general labour market. The national report closes with a conclusion and outlook.
